Four layers of incredible texture in this Eastlake style frame with a WW1 soldier. The frame is late Victorian, 1800'1890's, ebonized and speckled. The photograph is signed on the back in script from Mr. James Hoban to Miss Myrtle Davis, Columbus, Ind. Likely his gift to his sweetheart before going off to war .He is quite the handsome gentleman in uniform.
