A rare pair of Clogs form the Jilin Province in Northwestern China, late 19th century -
early 20th. Made of stiff leather, wood and metal. These shoes were worn for working
in the rice paddy fields and for snow and mud. The platform is one piece of wood and
is raised on four feet (one 3/4" is missing). Great details include; trimming with metal,
bold stitching and clinching nails. The interior walls are partially lined with metal. They
have an incredible age worn patina.
