A huge Ammonite Pendant in Sterling Silver with a white rope Necklace.Ammonites were shelled cephalopods that died out about 66 million years ago. They are were also called snakestones because they resembled coiled up snakes. But ammonites weren't reptiles: they were ocean-dwelling molluscs, specifically cephalopods, now extinct.
The necklace material in cotton yarn rope and it can be sized. It is quite unusual and large, a statement piece. The rope chain is sizable and currently at 19 1/2". The pendant is 4 3/4" x 5/8". The pendant is stamped, C. Albert
